Build a PC and check the parts fit
How to build a PC yourself
Pick the parts above, starting with the graphics card. Every choice is checked against what is already in the machine — fourteen checks, covering whether the processor fits the board, whether the memory will run at the speed the board supports, whether the power supply covers the draw, whether the card and the cooler physically fit the case, and whether the processor and the card are a fair match for one another.
Price
Each part carries a price range rather than one number, refreshed weekly. A part we can no longer price is removed from the catalogue.
Value
The value badge is arithmetic, not an opinion. A price line is fitted through every part in the same category, and each part is read by its distance from that line: above it means more performance than its price suggests. The power supply, cooler and memory are judged against your build, so their badge changes when you change the processor or the graphics card.
Performance
The performance bar compares like with like — a card against cards, a processor against processors, and the pair against every pairing the catalogue can make.
What else is here
Three other things you can do here: compare graphics cards, compare processors and check whether a part fits the PC you already own.
